Private Equity

Schroders has significant experience in private equity, having established Schroders Ventures (now known as Permira) in 1983 and Schroder Ventures International Investment Trust plc (now known as SVG Capital plc) in 1996. Permira has developed into an international association of independent entities, providing management, advisory and consultancy services to Permira Private Equity Funds. SVG Capital plc is a private equity fund of funds and fund advisory business. Schroders continue to have significant interests in private equity funds.

Schroders has expanded its private equity activities and now has two Private Equity Fund of Funds with combined commitments of approximately £530 million. Both Funds have been structured to meet the needs of small and large institutions as well as high net worth individuals.
